Volunteer Appreciation:
We are fortunate to have many amazing volunteers who support our program. Without your help, we would not be able to take part in field trips, Scientists in the school, and other special events. Anyone who has volunteered in the class knows that it's a busy place! Having an extra set of hands makes a HUGE difference. Whether you have volunteered for one trip or you come weekly, please know that we are extremely appreciative of your help! Please join us for the volunteer appreciation breakfast on Thursday, May 18th in the school library (child care will be available).
Our Garden:
We've been taking advantage of the sunny weather this week and we've been working hard preparing the John McCrae plots in our school's Community Garden. We've been weeding, turning over the soil, and observing different types of roots. The highlight for most has been finding worms and other creatures! We planted some strawberry plants and soon we'll be planting potatoes. We'll also be planting some herbs in a container in the Kindergarten yard. If you have any herbs you'd like to donate to this garden, please let us know. Thanks!
Our City Project:
Many of you saw the city we created at our open house in April, but not everyone was able to attend.
