We are sad to announce that tomorrow is Mme Chartrand's last day in our classroom. She is a fourth year student at the University of Guelph, who has been on a co-op placement in our classroom three days a week. Mme Chartrand has been a huge asset as she speaks French and relates really well to young children. She will definitely be missed by all. Our students who attend YMCA program will continue to see Mme Chartrand on Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school.
A reminder that Friday is superhero day. Tomorrow we will be working in class to make masks, crests, capes and other superhero accessories. We are encouraging the students to be creative and invent their own superheroes.
We are still enjoying spending lots of time outdoors! Today when it started to rain, my group had a great talk about where to take shelter. We found a big cedar tree that protected us from the rain and carried on with our discussion about animals and seasons. Thank you to those of you who have sent extra socks and mitts for your children to keep in their backpacks. They are especially helpful when we have wet weather. Rainpants / splash pants are also great for this mild and muddy weather. Thanks!
