We will be talking about being kind and ways to speak up when others are being unkind.
We brainstormed what can be done if you don't have a pink t-shirt. Our ideas were: wear red, borrow a pink shirt, wear something else that is pink (scarf, hat, etc.) or make a pink sign to put on your shirt!
We have been counting each day of the year with bingo dabbers. Today we celebrated the 100th day at school with all our students (Year 1 and Year 2 together). All week we will be doing various activities involving the number 100. If you are interested in doing a "100th day" activity at home, you could count out a collection of 100 items (noodles, dried beans, pennies, buttons, etc.) and send them to school. Another option is to make a collection containing less than 100 items that we will use for an estimation activity. If you do take part in this and would like your "collection" returned, please label the ziplock bag or container "Please return with (name)". You can do this anytime over the next couple of weeks. Thanks!
