As you know, this Friday, we're heading to Harcourt Memorial United Church to participate in the Upper Grand D.S.B. Music Festival with the primary choir and M. Black's class. We will be walking to Harcourt from John McCrae leaving at 9 am. Our group will be singing at 10 a.m. Parents and other family members are welcome to attend.
The children will bring their backpacks with their indoor shoes, a water bottle and lunch. It is important that they have some food / snacks that are not too messy to eat. The students may wear what they would like, but they are invited to wear a dark colour on the bottom (black or navy if possible) and a bright coloured top (e.g. a red shirt, a purple sweater). It’s preferable if their top is a colour of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, as we will be ending with our school song about the colours of the rainbow. Ideally the top would be one colour with no writing / logos / images. There is no need to purchase special clothing for this event. Anything is fine! The students have been working hard, and we’re looking forward to this special opportunity!
It's maple time at John McCrae! On Monday, we tapped a tree and since then we've been collecting (and tasting) the sap!
On Saturday, March 30th, "Syrup in the City" is being held from 10-1. Everyone is welcome at this community event.
