This week:
Monday - Math with Mme. Campbell
Tuesday - Trip to the fire station (send separate snack...sandwich, granola bar, apple, so the children don't need to take their whole lunch on the walk)
Wednesday - Math with Mme. Campbell
Thursday - Pizza Day (instead of Friday for Kindergarten only)
Friday - Library, Scholastic Orders Due, "Concert" and Picnic 12-1
We hope you can join us this Friday, December 8th from 12 - 1 p.m. You may arrive at 11:50. We will be sharing a few songs with you and then we will enjoy a potluck picnic together in the gym. This will include our class and KC.
Our potluck:
- Please bring a plate of finger foods to share at our potluck. Your food cannot contain any nuts, fish or shellfish. Please label any food with dairy or meat products, and label gluten/dairy free items. Thanks!
- Year 1 students, please bring a sweet treat to share (fruit, cookies, etc.). Year 2 students, please bring something savoury & healthy (vegetable & dip/hummus, crackers & cheese, mini sandwiches/wraps, etc.). If you would like to bring 1-2 large packages of sturdy paper plates instead of a food item, please send a note in your child's "sac de communication".
- Please also bring a picnic blanket to sit on in the gym and water bottles or drinks for your family.
Arrival:
- Doors open at 11:50. You will likely need to park on a side street (N.B. Maple Street is closed due to construction).
- Place your potluck food on a table on the far side of the gym (closer to the office). You may then take your seat on the side of the gym closest to the stage.
- If you are able to stay at the end to stack chairs and clean-up, we would greatly appreciate your help!
Scholastic book orders are due on Friday, December 8th. If you would like to order items as a gift, just let us know and we will let you know when they've arrived (instead of sending them home with your child).
Some families like to give gifts to teachers at the holidays. Please know that there is no need to give us gifts and we do not expect them. If you would really like to give something, you could give a gift to the classroom (e.g. pencil crayons, quality art supplies, educational game, gift card to a store such as: dollar store, grocery, hardware, art, bookstores, etc. so we can buy special materials for class). Another idea is to make a donation to charity of your choice. As previously mentioned, there is no need to give us anything, a card or picture made by a child is always appreciated.
