Song book:
Today your child brought home a red duotang that contains many of the songs we've learned over the past 2 months. You may keep this duotang at home and throughout the year we will be sending home more songs to be added to this collection. New this year is a "song" tab on our website. Here you will find some of the songs we've been singing at school (sometimes the words will vary slightly from our words). We will continue to add songs as the year progresses.
Monarch Tiny Doc: A number of students were excited to tell us that they had seen our TinyDoc at the Guelph Film Fest and that they had heard the voices of the students in our class. Here's the link to the video:

Remembrance Day Ceremony:
Tomorrow we will be walking to John McCrae house with the rest of the school for our annual remembrance day ceremony. We will be singing a song with the other kindergarten classes at the start of the ceremony. You are welcome to join us if you would like. We'll be singing somewhere around 10:20 - 10:30.
The children need to be dressed to sit in the cold for about 30 minutes. They should all have either snow pants or splash pants as we will be sitting on tarps on the ground. As well, they should have mitts and hats.
This week we have been talking about John McCrae, poppies and the meaning of Remembrance Day. Our students have made some beautiful poppy art, including this amazing mural.
