Tomorrow is Picture Retake Day. If you want your child to have their school photo retaken, please write a note in their "sac de communication" and as always, leave the notebook open so that we can see there's a note from you. You can also send an email to [email protected] before 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.
Au revoir:
Last Friday we said goodbye to Jehad who moved K-W, and on Nov. 14th we'll be saying goodbye to Annica who is moving as well. We are sad to say goodbye to both of them. We'll have new students join our class in the new year.
November Dates:
Nov. 3th - Picture Retake Day
Nov. 6th - Humane Society Visit, Pyjama Day (for our class)
Nov. 9th - Scholastic Book Orders Due (Let us know if you're placing an order that will be a gift. We'll keep it a secret!)
Nov. 10th - Remembrance Day Ceremony at John McCrae House
Nov. 16th - Progress Reports go home
Nov. 23rd - Parent/Teacher Interviews (Interviews will be booked online, more information to follow)
Nov. 24th - PD DAY (no school for students), Parent/Teacher Interviews
Nov. 28th - Scientists in the School (We will be looking for volunteers to help from 8:30-11:45. Please let us know if you're interested.)
Our school's Social Justice club is collecting: spare change for Healthcare in Haiti and old batteries for a year long battery drive. The Grade 5s are also selling bracelets they've made out of recycled t-shirts ($2).
The class had a lot of fun on Hallowe'en. They were really excited to show one another their costumes, and they enjoyed dancing at the Dance-a-thon (thanks again for your donations) and eating the Hallowe'en cookies we baked on Monday!
Well, believe it or not, we counted them with the help of our hundreds board. The answer... 696 (but likely more than 700 as a few were lost in the process).
