Important things to note:
- Tuesday we're having a Colour House Assembly. Our class should wear GREEN on Tuesday.
- The Communication of Learning Documents (report cards) will be sent home on Tuesday. Please keep the Communication of Learning for your records, and cut off and return the signed "return slip" the following day.
- Wednesday is a WATER PLAY DAY for all Kindergarten students (from 11:00-12:00ish). Students should bring to school a plastic bag, a towel and clothes and shoes that can get wet (swimsuit, rash guards / swim shirts or spare clothes that can get wet). There will be a variety of outside activities available (both wet and dry).
- Friday is a P.D. Day. Thursday is the final day of school.
- We're still missing a few library books. Students with missing books were given a reminder slip (in their sac de communication) that states the replacement cost of the book. Please return the books or send in money to replace the missing item. Thank you.
We want to extend our thanks for Maya, our Grade 12 co-op student, who was with us in the afternoons for all of 2nd term. Maya was a great asset to our classroom and the students loved spending time with her! Last Monday was Maya's last day with us. Thank you for joining us for our end-of-year play and picnic. We were extremely proud of our students and how well they did with the play! Not only did the children design and paint the backdrop, they also shared their ideas for the hats and helped create those as well. We were also really impressed with how well they did learning their lines and projecting them loudly. Bravo les amis! |
Just a reminder, please don't post videos or photos of the play on social media or public sites. That being said, we'd love to show the play to the class and our video is incomplete. If you have a video of the whole play or a photo of the whole class on stage, please consider sending it to us (preferably via the Google Drive at: [email protected] or to my regular email [email protected]). Alexis' mom came a week ago Friday to lead nature photography workshops for the class. The students learned about taking photos from different angles and they had lots of fun! Thanks Christa. As well, Hazel's dad has come a couple of times to talk to the class about music recording and to help us create and record our own song! The students brainstormed the ideas and we wrote the lyrics together. This past Friday we recorded our song and we were able to see the "sound waves" of our voices and body percussion on the screen. It was a great experience. Thanks Nathan! |
