We then predicted how many squirrel and bird nests we would find on our walk, and kept track using tally charts.
We were glad to see that most students had snow pants today. Bravo! However, a number of children were still very cold on our walk. Please ensure your child has warm layers including a warm winter coat, snow pants, winter boots, neck warmer, tuque and good mitts or gloves. We spend a significant portion of each day outside. If you are in need of good warm items please let us know and we will see if we can find something for your child. We have also been reminding the children to wear the warm clothing they bring to school, to zip up their zippers and to put up their hoods.
As we move into snow pant weather it would be very helpful if you could have your child dress independently at home, so they practice putting on all their layers (e.g. putting on snow pant before the boots, and leaving mitts to the end!).
Just a reminder that tomorrow afternoon we have a visit from the Humane Society. If you would like to make a donation to the Humane Society, please send it tomorrow.
Today we sent home a flyer about the Guelph Storm Game on Saturday, December 17th. This is a fundraiser for the school. Please let us know if you did not receive this form. Merci.
