It's a very busy time over the next few weeks! Thank you for looking at home for missing library books. Notes were sent home yesterday (in the "sac de communication") for students who still have books signed out to their account, as well as to families who owe money for recent special events ($7.50 for Scientist in the School and/or $16 for the Zoo trip). If you've not already done so, please check your child's "sac de communication" for these notes and pay as soon as possible. Thank you.
We hope you can join us on Friday, June 22nd for our end-of-year play and picnic.
"Doors open" at 11:45 and our plays will begin at noon (one by our class and one from Mme Higgins and Mme Tran's class). After our two plays, we will head outside for a picnic. Please bring a blanket and food for your own family to enjoy. You're welcome to come for either the play, the picnic or both parts of the event.
We're in full swing in preparation for our play! If possible, please help your child find a t-shirt of the following colour. If you have an extra t-shirt of one of these colours, please consider lending it (labeled) to the class. Please do not buy something, we can find shirts for those who do not have them.
The children should know their parts, but if they are unsure, just ask us!
Narrators: Black and/or white clothing
All pigs: Pink clothing / t-shirts
If possible (but not necessary): Pig #1 in light pink, Pig #2 in medium pink and Pig #3 in dark/bright pink
The "nice wolf": grey
The "mean wolf": brown
For the "mean wolf", please let us know if it's okay to put face paint on your child's face (probably a mix of paint & soap). If you have a prefered product you wish us to use, please let us know.
Students should have their clothing for next Tuesday, June 19th AND Friday, June 22nd. Thanks!

Mindfulness:
Thank you so much to Mme Thackaberry (Mme T) who has been coming weekly for the past several weeks to talk to the class about mindfulness. Each week, she has given us more strategies to stay calm and in the present moment. This past week, she shared beautiful paintings with our class (see below), showing how we feel when we're low energy (blue zone), calm and ready (green zone) and upset / too energetic / stormy (yellow & red zones). The students are able to put magnetic boats on these paintings:
Breathing in, breathing out
Belly up, belly down,
Being here, being now
